Standard 2: Instructional Leadership
School executives set high standards for the professional practice of 21st century instruction and assessment that result in a no nonsense accountable environment. The school executive must be knowledgeable of best instructional and school practices and must use this knowledge to cause the creation of collaborative structures within the school for the design of highly engaging schoolwork for students, the on-going peer review of this work, and the sharing of this work throughout the professional community.

Element 2A: Focus on Learning and Teaching, Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment
This year at Franklinton Middle School I served as Testing Coordinator. I created and delivered protocol for teachers to follow during testing. I met with the teachers to explain expectations that had been put in place from County Office. We met multiple times through the year as we prepared for quarterly benchmarks and End of Grade Testing.

Element 2B: Focus on Instructional Time
I created a lesson plan for teachers to use to ensure that instructional time was maximized. The lesson plan was expected to be turned in for the week each Sunday. I worked with teachers during grade level meetings to determine the best use of class time and how that should be represented in their weekly lesson plan.
